Two Killed, Two Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 7 in Garland County

GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. — A head-on collision on State Highway 7 near Hot Springs left two people dead and two others injured on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at approximately 1:26 p.m., according to the Arkansas State Police.

A southbound 2018 Toyota entered the northbound lane and struck a 2008 Hyundai head-on. The driver of the Toyota, 77-year-old Paula Deist of Hot Springs, was killed. A passenger in the Hyundai, 19-year-old Kayli Turney, also of Hot Springs, was also killed.

Two others were injured: the Hyundai’s driver, 21-year-old Alex Neito, and a juvenile passenger. Both were transported to CHI St. Vincent. Conditions at the time were clear and dry. The crash is under investigation by Sergeant Kevin S. Steed.
