One Dead in Head-On Collision Near Winslow on June 10

WINSLOW, Ark. — A fatal collision occurred on June 10, 2025, at approximately 5:16 p.m. on U.S. Highway 71 near Wexel Drive in Washington County. According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2014 GMC traveling southbound crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2002 Polaris head-on. Both vehicles exited the roadway and came to a stop in a ditch on the east side.

The driver of the Polaris, 51-year-old Eric Daniel Henson of Winslow, was killed. No other injuries were reported. The crash took place under clear skies and dry road conditions. Trooper Keegan W. Puryear is investigating.
