Texarkana Man Killed in Head-On Crash on Four States Fair Parkway

MILLER COUNTY, Ark. — A man was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision on Four States Fair Parkway in Texarkana on June 11, 2025, around 5:25 p.m., according to Arkansas State Police.

36-year-old Marcus Jerome Floyd of Texarkana was driving a southbound 1999 Lexus when his vehicle hydroplaned, crossed the concrete median, and struck a northbound 2020 Jeep head-on. Floyd was killed in the crash.

Two men in the Jeep—driver Matthew Brian Smith, 32, and passenger Justin Keith Woodson, 43, both of Texarkana—were injured and transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital. The crash occurred in rainy weather with wet road conditions and is under investigation by Corporal Bernard Pettit.

Driving In Rainy Conditions

Rainy conditions may reduce visibility and traction, but all drivers are expected to maintain control of their vehicle regardless of weather. When hydroplaning results in a fatal head-on crash, surviving victims and families may have legal grounds to pursue compensation through a personal injury or wrongful death claim. At Ludwig Law, we work to hold drivers accountable and help families recover financial damages after devastating losses.
