Arkansas wrongful death law after a pedestrian fatality

Arkansas’s wrongful death statute allows a personal representative or statutory beneficiaries to pursue compensation for funeral expenses, loss of support, and companionship. Families generally have three years from the date of death to file.

A survival action may also allow recovery for medical bills or conscious pain the victim may have suffered before death.

Why interstate pedestrian crashes require urgent investigation

Fatalities on interstates often involve questions of visibility, driver attentiveness, lighting conditions, and roadway design. Attorneys investigate traffic cameras, dash cam footage, vehicle inspection data, and witness accounts to determine liability and preserve evidence.
